Named after "Big Sandy" Lane, who got stuck in Big Sandy Creek, Big Sandy was a railroad town. It was a hub for shipping cattle and sheep for local ranchers.
The Historical Society is doing their best to keep the town's rich history alive. Offering a variety of exhibits to show the versatility of the people who made this unique town.
